ReplyDeleteBlue needs professional help. Perhaps she is seeking treatment somewhere.. This would be a good thing.. I doubt if anyone hacked her. Or maybe she realized she is doing more harm than good and stopped.

Her IP address when she posted on both my blog and Jade's have been consistent before and after the World of Warcraft postings. Because of this, I do not believe she has been hacked, but it does leave me to wonder what has happened here.

ReplyDeleteHi, Bluetraveler. You haven't sounded like your usual self recently. Normally, you write in a very lucid way, and even when you're discussing a topic that may be unfamiliar to your readers, you explain your ideas in a way that others can follow.
ReplyDeleteAfter February 28th, though, your posts seem to be written in a private language that is not accessible to other people. Even someone who is genuinely interested, and wants to follow the thread, can't do so. The change is so sudden and dramatic that a reasonable person could wonder if some physical condition has caused it. If that is so, it would be a good idea to see a physician, the same as if you were experiencing sudden pains somewhere in your body.
(I'm going to post this now, so it doesn't get stuck in your spam folder, and finish what I have to say below.)
Hi again, Blue. Please take a look at your posts before and after February 28th. Since you are a scientifically-minded person, you could look at them empirically -- take an inventory of the content and style before and after that date. I don't know if you are able see the difference right now, but it is there, and is striking enough that some of your readers are worried, and believe your account has been hacked.
ReplyDeleteI thought so, too, at first, but your posts in the month of March continue to reflect your interests in a way that I don't believe a hacker or troll could easily duplicate. Your tastes in literature are still there, as are your views on subjects like transhumanism. What's new is the use of World of Warcraft as a unifying metaphor, and the fact that the logic of these newer posts is incomprehensible even to a sympathetic reader.
Another reason I believe it's you, and not a hacker, is that the new posting style starts becoming noticeable on February 24th, and then quickly takes over. In your posts, you don't seem to be aware that your style is changing dramatically. Again, that is difficult to fake.

Blue, at the moment it appears that you are not communicating effectively with the world outside yourself. That could cause trouble in your life, especially in your studies, and you owe it to yourself to make an appointment with a competent physician who is also a decent human being.
ReplyDeleteI'm a stranger on the internet, but from your earlier posts, it sounds as if you have many people in your life -- family and friends -- who love and care about you. Please ask one of them whom you trust to help you find an equally trustworthy psychiatrist or psychologist. There are some who are not sexist, and who will recognize and respect your intelligence and your individuality.
In the mean time, I know I speak for many of your readers when I say that I wish you well, think highly of you, and hope that you are safe right now.

ReplyDeleteWhile I can follow a great deal of your writings as I'm an avid fan of WoW and Disney, as well as someone who has followed your blog for quite some time(albeit somewhat silently lately as I too have had a great deal of school to catch up on). For this reason, I also understand why you are doing what you are.
I think you are limiting your audience, however, and if it is conversation and enlightenment (both giving and receiving) you are seeking, I think you need to be open and blunt as you have been in the past with little to no Morse code.
You have amazing points and some great facts/ideas to share with the world. You are a strong and proud Tauren woman, don't let the Alliance and their avid and blind followers force you into a secret code of your own.
